The Philippine National football team, won their first international title, the Philippine Football Peace Cup.
The AZKALS beaten Chinese Taipei last night in Rizal Memorial Stadium for their first international title even without the Younghusbands, James and Phil. Dennis Wolf gave their first point, followed by Chieffy Caligdong and OJ Ponteria gave a three point lead against the Taipei team.
Taipei was able to sneak a point but even if they extended the game for another 4 minutes, the team wasn't able to duplicate another score.
The tournament started last Monday, they first defeated Guam and a blowout win against Macau gave them a chance to face Taipei.
This is part of their preparation for the Suzuki Cup on November.
