Ateneo de Manila and De La Salle University basketball alumni, face each other again for charity.
Philippine Basketball Association and Mastermind Entertainment organized the event for the benefits of several charity institutions. Smart Araneta Coliseum is full pack, supporters of both schools gathered to cheer, just like a usual UAAP game.
Both school brought their great players, Ateneo's line includes, JC Intal, L.A. Tenorio, Japeth Aguilar, Doug Kramer, Larry Fonacier, Wesley Gonzales, Eric Salamat, Rich Alvarez, Paulo Bugia, Magnum Membrere and Enrico Villanueva. Willie Wilson, Carlos Sharma, JV Casio, TY Tang, Mike Cortez, Renren Ritualo, Ryan Arana, Don Allado, Rico Maierhoffer and Joseph Yeo completed the La Salle line up.
Former La Salle coach, Franz Pumaren coaches the Archers and Norman Black for the Eagles.
La Salle played prepared and relax, after having a 15 point lead in the first quarter, Ateneo made some adjustments and equalize the score. But JV Casio, Joseph Yeo and Don Allado provided points and took a 23 point lead before the first half ended.
The Eagles tried to comeback in second half, they try to get closer but Archers answer back with 3 point shots from Casio and Yeo. Final score 117-103 in favor of the Green Archers.
Don Carlos Allado started the rally and later emerge as MVP of the game. On his twitter account, Allado is so fired up for the game.
