Victoria Azarenka ranks no. 1 after winning the 2012 Australian open, beating Maria Sharapova.
The 22 year old Belarusian, won her first Grand Slam title after 1 hour and 22 minutes of playing. She was down 0-2 in the beginning but got back and won the game, 6-3,6-0. After her winning shot, she can't believe that she won the game and asked her coach "what is happening?".
Azarenka won 12 of her 13 games, she beaten Kim Clijsters in the semifinals of Australian Open to face Sharapova in the finals.
In the men's finals, Novak Djokovic will face Rafael Nadal.
